happy (late) 4th!

I hope everyone had such a fun 4th of July weekend! It has been such a busy summer, 4th of July weekend was pretty much my first moment out of the house. I'm still working hard to catch up on my recent weddings, which will be done asap! :)

I thought I'd take a second to share some of my favorite personal pics from July 3rd & 4th. Independence Day is one of the best holidays, especially since my birthday is the day before!

Clement Park, July 3rd:

The sky is always this amazing here:

The Columbine Memorial. Casey and I went to Columbine High School together and were freshman during the 1999 shootings. They recently built this memorial behind the high school, at Clement Park. They did a beautiful job:

More Colorado sunset. It's always changing. These are within minutes of each other:

We spent July 4th eating at Smash Burger, riding the ferris wheel & alpine slides at Heritage Square, and watching fireworks at a park near Pirates Cove. All of it was amazing. Here are a few highlights:

Heritage Square:

best part of my day:

So many great pictures, Bethany! I didn't know you had a Nikon. Do you use photo shop? I would love to be your assistant or just shoot stuff for fun sometime when you move back. You really are good at what you do!

Ooh looks like you had so much fun, I haven't been on a carnival ride in so long I think it will be time this year. Awesome firework shots.

I agree, the fireworks shots are really neat. I took some myself this year, although I didn't even THINK of doing out of focus. Love that.

I am so glad I have a friend to sympathize with about the jpeg vs. raw dilemma! And I absolutely know what you mean - I have old shots that are some of my favorites, but you can never go back! Pooh. Oh well, you live, you learn! Life is a learning process, right?
