I definitely haven't mastered the newborn photos, and am sometimes hesitant to even try, but when they are for one of the best and cutest newborns I've ever seen, and for one of the best new moms I've ever known, you can't really go wrong!

Housekeeping.

I don't know about you guys...but I am really looking forward to a nice Spring cleaning of our apartment in a few weeks, I can not wait! In the spirit of organizing, here's a few housekeeping items for my photography biz. :)

{new calendar items}

middle of june - middle of august

Casey (husband) and I just found out we'll be temporarily relocating to Denver, Colorado for two months this summer. As a part of the computer information systems masters program at BYU, Casey was given an awesome internship opportunity out in our hometown of Denver, and of course I couldn't let him go without me! We're super excited!

As far as the biz goes, I'm still totally available for photographing
anywhere, but Colorado will be my base for those few weeks.

Pricing will remain the same. And during those 2 months only,
Utah weddings will require a small additional travel fee. Please don't hesitate to contact me for more info!

No matter where you are, I would
love, and be honored to, attend your wedding. But call fast, June is already beginning to fill! :)

For all of you Coloradans out there, this means I especially want
you to contact me!! If you or anyone you know is getting married, needs senior portraits, or family pictures, or anything in Colorado during that time, I am all yours. No travel fees attached. And I would be more than honored to have your referrals.

We will be returning to our home in Provo, Utah after those two months, about mid-August.

now - mid june

Since we all love pictures in the Spring and Summer more than anything, I hope to get in as many photo sessions in as possible here in Utah before I leave. So please keep calling and emailing!

always

As always, I will be available to travel anywhere, anytime, so definitely call and we will arrange for the lowest travel fee possible!

{simple pricing}

Know that I have also made my pricing information as simple and affordable as possible. You can find most pricing details on my website, or you can contact me for a full list.

A few things that you might have recently noticed:

For all portrait sessions (i.e. engagements, bridals, families, etc.),
discs and digital rights will be included. That is...if you promise not to make prints at wal-mart, or those automatic picture machines. :) I will suggest quality printers, offer printing tips, and include a copyright release. The images will be printable up to 11x14, so I hope that you will still purchase prints from me for any enlargements or any important images since I print at a pro lab.

Wedding discs are available as well, but will require an additional charge.

{consultations}

I love meeting brides and grooms before their big day, especially during their complimentary engagement sessions. But if you are able to meet with me and chat about your wedding, you can either come have treats at my place, or I will treat you to somewhere like Jamba Juice or Starbucks. :)

(delicious vanilla bean. i wear that sweater a lot. and uh, pre-haircut.) :)

{wishes}

I hope to be working with all of you whether it's in Utah, Colorado, or anywhere else. Thank you for visiting my blog and for reading through this agonizing post. :) We are very excited for our internship opportunity, and surely there will be a copious amount of Denver pictures (and beyond) to come. :)

the sun came out yesterday

...and it set at 5:54!

5:54 is way better than 4:54, when maybe a month ago, the sun set before I even came home from work...

Spring is slowly trying to weasel it's way in around here.

I still had to race to the lake after work in order to catch a glimpse of the sunset. It was so beautiful, I barely made it.

although it had finally warmed up yesterday, it was freezing at sunset.
it becomes even colder when you turn around to the all-over cold, but beautiful, blue...

spoiler

I guess you can never experiment too much with a blog header right? If I can be patient with photoshop and blogger, it might change a million times this weekend. ;)

Speaking of Photoshop, I always take pictures without the excuse that "I can change it later in photoshop..." So I have this inner struggle, where I think I should keep a photograph pure and original--which I made myself do for my photo 101 class (below)--and I'm sure I still have more to learn about taking that perfect picture--but after putting a photo through it, I can not get over what a difference a small change can make, and I just can't seem to let it go...

Not terrible before pictures, and not a huge change, but definitely much more vibrant, wouldn't you say?

*One reason why purchasing a print from me is such a good idea! :)
