nie nie day

I'm running a little late in comparison to the hundreds of auctions that are being held online for Nie Nie Day, but I want to participate. The efforts that are being made to support this family via the web are so overwhelming. Have you seen the auction list on designmom.com? The magnitude of the plane crash and their condition in the hospital didn't hit me until today after I sat down to read Stephanie's blog and watch 2 of the news reports from nierecovery.com. At first I thought there wasn't anything I could do, but just as hundreds of others, I was moved by their story and want to help. I'm nervous to see if I even get a response from my blog readers, but I hope to at least get a few. I don't care if I only get 2 bidders, at least we will help the Nielson family in some small way. I'd like to auction off one portrait session valued at $200 (engagements, bridals, family, babies, etc.), taken in Utah County, where you keep the images and nie nie gets the money. Feel free to enter for yourself, or for friends and family in the Utah area that could use a portrait session.

amberlyn & chase - wedding

I absolutely love these two. How excited I was to be a part of their July wedding in Colorado. Friday evening was spent at the reception, while the sealing and marriage took place on Saturday, the next morning. It seemed to make the weekend relaxing for everyone. The reception took place at the Clubhouse at Riverwalk and they were married in the Denver Temple (where my husband and I were married almost 3 years ago). :) Amberlyn and Chase were the perfect bride and groom, not to mention insanely happy, insanely gorgeous, and insanely photogenic!

oh the wonder and joy of getting a perfect group photo... this is what happened after i asked them to lean in for a group hug. love that little one who ran to hug the bride. aren't they a darling family?

mandy's bridals

I could not wait to post these. We took Mandy's bridals last Tuesday, we had prints made by Friday, and then she & Braden got married on Saturday! It was nuts. HUGE congratulations to them! If only I was able to be at 2 weddings at once! Mandy is the sweetest, most gorgeous bride.
